Job summary

KARI Ltd is recruiting a full-time Caseworker at the Penrith site to provide intensive, trauma-informed, culturally safe case management for Aboriginal families. The role involves engaging families with a strengths-based approach, and working with government and community services to support safety and wellbeing.

The position requires a current Working with Children Check, National Criminal History Check, and a NSW P2 driver’s licence. Competitive remuneration and salary packaging are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role such as case management or child protection preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Aboriginal communities and intergenerational trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, trauma-informed, culturally safe case management support to Aboriginal families.
• Engage families using a therapeutic, strengths-based approach.
• Collaborate with internal and external services and stakeholders, including government departments and community organisations.
• Perform administrative tasks, recording and reporting.
• Support children's safety and connection to culture and wellbeing.
