Job summary

Queensland Government in Rockhampton is seeking a qualified Town Planner to join the Project Planning and Corridor Management team. You will apply planning expertise to development and infrastructure matters across Central Queensland, reporting to the Principal Town Planner.

Responsibilities include assessing planning matters, reviewing documents, and advising on transport-related planning issues; a tertiary qualification and a valid driver licence are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Town Planning or an equivalent acceptable by the Planning Institute of Australia.
• Mandatory current class C driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Assess planning matters for transport infrastructure and state-controlled road network.
• Provide specialist planning and development assessment advice related to transport infrastructure.
• Review planning documents and prepare formal responses for the region.
