Job summary

Vision Surveys is seeking a qualified Town Planner to join a compact planning team in Queensland. The role involves preparing and lodging development applications, advising on statutory and strategic planning, and coordinating with engineers, architects, and government agencies.

Travel to Airlie Beach is occasionally required, with base locations spanning Brisbane, Airlie Beach, Townsville, Mackay or Rockhampton.

Qualifications

• Minimum +5 years’ experience in planning or related field.
• Proven ability to manage client projects and expectations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of land use, design, economic, environmental and infrastructure issues in Queensland.
• Well-developed knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Organised and focused with good time management.
• Excellent and creative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, lodging, and managing development applications.
• Providing statutory and strategic planning advice to clients.
• Co-ordinating with engineering and architectural consultants, clients, State and Local government.
• Liaising with authorities and clients to maintain clear communication on each project.
