Job description

Our client is a national specialised courier delivery company in need of a permanent, full-time person to oversee the performance and retention of a large team of Delivery Professionals working in the Brisbane area for one of Australia’s largest retailers.

Based in Wacol, you will be part of a busy and dynamic team, working a 5 day week (Monday to Friday) from 5am to 1pm. A generous salary of $85,000 plus super is on offer plus a $15,000 car allowance.

FURTHER DETAILS OF THE ROLE

• You will be overseeing the onboarding, retention and performance of a team of Delivery Professionals while building strong relationships within that team
• You will lead performance reviews while identifying areas for improvement and putting strategies in place to drive outstanding performance
• You will oversee the safety and compliance requirements of the team
• You will identify any inefficiencies in processes and operations and contribute to continuous improvement of the fleet
• Full training in processes and a comprehensive handover will be provided
• You will need a reliable vehicle and Licence plus a Police Clearance for this role
• An immediate start would be ideal if possible and no leave in the first 3 months would be preferrable as our client heads into a busy time of year

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE

• Relevant experience in a similar operational role in the transport or delivery sector
• The ability to successfully lead a team while building strong relationships
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility with regular shift hours including 1 day each weekend
• Previous experience with performance management, budget tracking and process improvements
• Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements in the transport or delivery sectors
• Sound IT skills with MS Office and FMS software
• The ability to solve problems, meet deadlines and be proactive
• A comprehensive knowledge of Brisbane suburbs
