Qualifications

• Experience supporting transport strategy, policy development or strategic projects in a complex environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical advice.
• Proven capability producing clear, accurate and well-structured reports, briefs and submissions.
• Sound understanding of transport principles, policy frameworks and government processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of transport strategies and strategic projects aligned to government priorities and organisational objectives.
• Apply strong research and analytical skills to produce evidence-based advice grounded in transport principles and policy frameworks.
• Prepare high-quality documentation, submissions and reports that are clear, accurate and decision‑ready.
• Contribute to project planning, coordination and reporting, ensuring progress, risks and issues are effectively managed and communicated.
• Ensure strategy development and implementation are underpinned by robust evidence, consultation and alignment with policy requirements.
• Collaborate with specialist teams and stakeholders across Transport to support practical delivery of strategy initiatives.
• Represent the team in internal and external meetings or working groups, contributing technical input and strategic insight.
• Support a collaborative and inclusive working environment by modelling Transport's Connected Leadership behaviours.
