Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a traffic engineering professional to lead the development of transport, road safety and network improvement initiatives in Parramatta, NSW. You will balance safety, performance and community needs while shaping the future operation of Sydney’s transport network.

Qualifications

Experience in road network planning, traffic and transport impact assessment, network management or road safety program development.
Strong technical capability in traffic engineering, transport planning, road safety investigations and network performance assessment.
Experience leading or contributing to project development, business cases and governance approval processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with evidence-based recommendations.
Well-developed stakeholder engagement, communication and report-writing skills across multiple agencies and communities.

Responsibilities

Lead development of transport, road safety and network improvement initiatives across Sydney’s precincts.
Balance road safety, network performance, public transport, active transport, freight and land use in planning.
Investigate complex network issues and develop business cases to influence projects.
Collaborate with councils, developers, government agencies and communities to deliver solutions.
