Job summary

PERSOL in Ingleburn is seeking an experienced Transport Scheduler to plan daily transport schedules, maximise fleet utilisation and ensure on-time deliveries in a fast-paced logistics operation. You will work closely with transport partners, customers and internal teams, maintain accurate records in SAP TMS, and drive continuous improvement in routes and cost efficiency.

Are you an experienced Transport Scheduler who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment? We are seeking a highly organised and proactive professional to join our team in Ingleburn, responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring service excellence, compliance, and cost-effective delivery outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in the planning and execution of transport activities while working closely with transport partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.

About the Role

Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing daily transport schedules that support operational requirements while maximising fleet utilisation and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily transport plans in line with operational requirements and customer demands.
• Allocate loads and delivery schedules to transport providers to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
• Monitor transport activities and proactively adjust schedules in response to delays, changes, and operational disruptions.
• Liaise with transport partners, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Track transport performance, including route efficiency, vehicle utilisation, delivery performance, and service levels.
• Review daily operational performance to identify trends, eliminate inefficiencies, and address ongoing service, safety, and cost-related issues.
• Maintain accurate scheduling and operational records within SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including route optimisation, process improvement, and system enhancements.
• Provide timely problem-solving support to respond to transport-related challenges as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, load restraint requirements, mass management regulations, and company policies.
• Comply with all Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental (WHSE) requirements and responsibilities.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in transport scheduling, transport planning, logistics coordination, or fleet scheduling.
• Strong understanding of transport operations within a fast-paced supply chain environment.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, mass management, and transport compliance requirements.
• Experience working with transport management systems, with SAP TMS experience highly regarded.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to analyse transport data and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and transport systems.
