Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Transport Planner to join our Perth team, delivering transport planning studies and traffic engineering projects across WA. You will work on complex problem solving, data analysis, and client engagement with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers and analysts.

The role requires a relevant degree (Civil Engineering or Transport Planning) and at least five years' consulting experience, with knowledge of traffic modelling tools such as SIDRA, VISSIM or VISUM.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in transport planning within a consulting environment.
• Knowledge of traffic modelling and analysis tools such as SIDRA, VISSIM, VISUM or similar will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and synthesise evidence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Deliver transport planning and traffic engineering studies, including impact assessments and modelling.
• Support and manage projects across land development, infrastructure and urban precincts.
• Synthesise qualitative and quantitative evidence to shape well-rounded recommendations.
• Undertake transport policy research and interpretation, including contributing to policies and guidelines.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals and client deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team growth.
