Qualifications

• Prior experience in scheduling, transport planning or freight operations.
• Knowledge of Australian road transport, carriers, and compliance obligations (Chain of Responsibility).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on cost and service optimisation.
• Experience using TMS or transport planning systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Well-developed organisational and self-management skills, with the ability to prioritise in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transport requirements from order receipt through to proof of delivery.
• Use optimisation and transport management systems (TMS) to schedule, allocate, and monitor freight movements.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure capacity, compliance and on-time performance.
• Monitor and resolve operational exceptions, maintaining service levels and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate data including carrier rates, routes and site information.
• Build strong working relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
