Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Transport Officer to engage with passengers, educate on fare compliance and travel conditions, and issue fines or cautions when required. You will work within a close-knit team to maintain high-quality customer service in demanding environments.

You will help resolve issues through strong problem-solving, clear communication, and adaptability, contributing to a safe and efficient network across Sydney. Training provided and base location in Redfern.

In this role, you'll:

• Work closely with passengers on the network to help educate on fare compliance and travel conditions, issuing fines and / or cautions when these conditions are not being adhered to.
• Work collaboratively in a close-knit team to provide a high level of customer service in high pressure situations.
• Use problem solving skills to deliver best outcomes to customers and the network.

We have opportunities starting from 11th June, 2026.

If you are successful through to the next round you will be invited to virtual information session being held on Tuesday 12th May 2026 between 3pm-4pm. You will find out more about the role and application and interview process.

Your base location will be Redfern, and we will provide you with all the necessary training to see you succeed.
