Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment's client, a market-leading waste logistics company, seeks a Transport Operations Manager to own a large-scale Western Sydney operation. You’ll lead day-to-day performance across 80+ trucks, building structure, driving efficiency, and delivering service excellence.

You will partner with the GM to shape operations, manage budgets and KPIs, and guide an engaged, capable team while maintaining safety and compliance across the fleet.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to take ownership of a large scale operation in Western Sydney. Working closely with the companies GM, you’ll lead day to day performance across a fleet of 80+ trucks while driving structure, efficiency, and service excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading end to end transport operations across a high volume, fast paced environment
• Managing fleet performance, ensuring service levels and customer expectations are consistently met
• Building structure, accountability, and capability across a diverse operations team
• Supporting growth through new customer onboarding and operational transitions
• Driving continuous improvement across processes, systems, and ways of working
• Managing budgets, forecasting, and overall operational performance
• Ensuring strong safety, compliance, and risk management standards
