Job summary

Now Careers is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee daily transport operations and ensure on-time delivery of pod slabs and concrete products across Sydney and NSW. The role involves coordinating drivers, subcontractors, and resources while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will lead drivers and transport staff, liaise with production, sales and site teams, monitor performance and costs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer service in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport management or logistics leadership.
• Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle operations.
• Experience with pod slabs, precast or building products is advantageous.
• WHS and CoR compliance understanding.
• Ability to work in fast-paced production and construction environments.
• Excellent scheduling and communication skills.

Now Careers client is a well-established supplier of pod slabs and concrete construction products, servicing residential and commercial building projects across Sydney and NSW.
We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee daily transport operations and ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

About the Role

• Manage daily transport operations, delivery schedules and fleet utilisation
• Coordinate drivers, subcontractors, vehicles and delivery resources
• Schedule deliveries around production requirements and construction site access
• Liaise with production, sales, customers and site teams
• Monitor delivery performance, transport costs and driver productivity
• Manage vehicle maintenance, servicing and compliance
• Ensure WHS, Chain of Responsibility and heavy vehicle compliance
• Resolve delivery issues and changing site requirements
• Lead and support drivers and transport personnel
• Identify opportunities to improve transport efficiency and customer service

About You

• Previous experience as a Transport Manager, Transport Supervisor or Logistics Manager
• Strong experience managing heavy vehicle fleets and drivers
• Understanding of construction logistics and time-critical site deliveries
• Experience with pod slabs, precast, concrete, building products or similar highly regarded
• Sound knowledge of CoR and transport compliance
• Strong scheduling, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production and construction environment
• Confident leader with a hands-on approach
