Home Delivery Services in Brisbane is inviting an experienced Transport / Load Out Team Leader to run the afternoon shift at our Acacia Ridge depot. You will lead a team of truck drivers, oversee load-out operations, and ensure timely, accurate departures for petrol and convenience retail customers.

Reporting directly to depot management, you’ll monitor performance against delivery standards, drive safety and compliance, and help shape shift processes as the site is launched.

Full Time | Approx. 2:00pm Start | Saturday to Wednesday | Brand New Facility

HDS has just completed construction of our brand-new Acacia Ridge depot and we’re building the leadership team that will launch and run it. We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport / Load Out Team Leader to take ownership of the afternoon shift – leading a team of truck drivers and overseeing the load-out operation that services petrol and convenience retail customers across the region.

The Opportunity:

This is a hands-on leadership role at the centre of our petrol and convenience delivery operation. You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of truck load-out, leading your driver team, and ensuring every run departs accurately and on time. Beyond load-out, you’ll monitor the performance of your team against delivery standards, drive compliance, and work closely with the wider depot operation to keep things moving. As we build from the ground up at Acacia Ridge, you’ll also play a genuine role in shaping how the shift runs – this is a role with real ownership from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of truck drivers, maintaining high performance standards and ensuring smooth, on‑time deliveries to petrol and convenience retail customers
• Oversee truck load‑out, ensuring all runs are correctly packed, manifested, and dispatched on time
• Coordinate transport and distribution activities to meet operational and customer delivery requirements
• Monitor delivery run performance in real time and proactively resolve issues as they arise
• Analyse logistics performance metrics and prepare operational reports for depot management
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards across all transport and load‑out activities
• Collaborate with the wider depot team to align transport and logistics goals with broader operational objectives
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement practical solutions to enhance efficiency
• Train, mentor, and develop team members to build capability and support strong individual performance

You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in a transport, logistics, or load‑out team leader or supervisory role
• Experience leading and managing a team of truck drivers – petrol, convenience, or FMCG distribution background highly regarded
• A hands‑on leadership style – someone who leads from the front and brings the team with them
• Strong planning and problem‑solving ability – able to stay ahead of issues and keep the operation running smoothly under pressure
• Sound knowledge of transport compliance, safety requirements, and chain of responsibility obligations
• Confidence with logistics or transport management systems – and a willingness to quickly get across the systems we use
• Availability for an afternoon shift commencing approximately 2:00pm, Saturday to Wednesday
