Job summary

Fleetwood is seeking a hands-on Transport Labourer for its Kangaroo Flat operations in Bendigo. The role combines driving heavy vehicles with general labouring to move building modules, materials and equipment between sites and yards.

You will report to the Transport Manager and support yard, manufacturing and construction activities on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate has experience with heavy vehicles in construction or logistics, a current HC licence, White Card, and a strong safety

Qualifications

  • Experience operating heavy vehicles in construction, manufacturing, transport or logistics.
  • Experience performing labouring or physically demanding work.
  • Strong understanding of load restraint and safe transport practices.
  • Current HC Driver's Licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

  • Transport modules, materials and equipment between sites, suppliers and yards.
  • Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with road laws and procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Complete daily vehicle pre-start and post-operational inspections.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within vehicles and work areas.
  • Assist with site preparation, clean-up, manual handling and general labouring duties.
  • Support tradespeople and construction teams with project activities.
  • Complete required documentation and report vehicle or equipment issues.
  • Maintain compliance with WHSEQ requirements and safe work procedures.
  • Identify hazards and report incidents; promote safety culture.

This is a varied role that combines heavy vehicle operation with general labouring duties, supporting the transport of building modules, materials and equipment across construction projects.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials and modules are delivered safely, efficiently and on time, while providing practical support across yard, manufacturing and construction activities. No two days are the same, with a mix of driving, loading and unloading, site support, logistics coordination and general labouring work.

About You

  • Reliable, organised and capable of managing responsibilities independently.
  • Good communication skills and a team‑first attitude.
