Job summary

One Group is hiring a transport-focused forklift operator in Sydney to load trucks carrying building products 3–6 metres long. You will work with loose, non-palletised loads and operate a Linde counterbalance forklift, with up to 100 on/off movements per shift, making the role physically demanding.

Applicants should hold a current forklift licence, have at least 1 year of truck-loading experience with COR knowledge, and be confident handling loose loads.

About the role

This is a transport-focused forklift role, different from a standard pallet-in/pallet-out warehouse. You'll be loading trucks with building product lengths of 3-6 metres, working with loose and awkward loads that can shift on the tines. You'll be operating a Linde counterbalance forklift and getting on and off the machine up to 100 times per shift, so this role is physically demanding.

What you'll need

• Current forklift licence (mandatory)
• Experience loading trucks and a working understanding of Chain of Responsibility (COR) – weight limits, load restraints, safety and load integrity minimum 1 year.
• Confidence handling loose, non-palletised loads
• Own vehicle and driver's licence strongly recommended, as public transport to the area is limited
• Background in building/construction, transport/freight (e.g. Direct Freight, Allied Express, FedEx) or similar non-palletised freight environments highly regarded
