Job summary

The City of Mandurah seeks an experienced Transport Engineer to lead transport and movement infrastructure planning. You will analyse trends, model movements, and advise Management and Council on safe, sustainable transport solutions.

Ideally with a Civil Engineering degree, a current C-class licence, and accreditation as a Road Safety Auditor, you will have strong project and capital works program experience. This role is based in Mandurah, WA.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Hold a current unrestricted “C” class national driver’s licence (essential).
• Experienced and Accredited Road Safety Auditor (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and planning in transport and movement infrastructure.
• Prepare transport and movement infrastructure capital works programs for asset management of transport infrastructure.
• Conduct modelling and analyze trends, usage, service levels, and regulatory requirements to identify capital projects.
• Provide professional advice and technical support to Management, Executive and Council on safe and sustainable transport.

The opportunity

We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional Transport Engineer who is passionate about their profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.

Working with the City’s Technical Services team, you will provide strategic leadership and planning in transport and movement infrastructure that contribute to an efficient, safe, equitable and sustainable movement network. You will be responsible for preparing transport and movement infrastructure capital works programs to contribute to the efficient asset management of transport infrastructure.This will include conducting modelling and investigating changes in trends, usage, service levels, regulatory requirements and standards for transport and movement infrastructure for the purposes of identifying required capital new, upgrade and renewal projects. As the City’s specialist in this area, you will provide professional advice and technical support to Management, Executive and Council in matters relating to safe and sustainable transport and movement infrastructure management.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Hold a current unrestricted “C” class national driver’s licence (essential).
• Experienced and Accredited Road Safety Auditor (desirable)
• Ten (10) years of relevant industry experience.
