Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD in Rockhampton is seeking a PO3 Designer (Civil) to develop and review transport infrastructure design models, provide technical advice, and coordinate with stakeholders. The role focuses on planning, development and delivery across multiple project phases, including review of consultant drawings and guidance on 12d Model and AutoCAD usage.

Based in Rockhampton, you will contribute to a multidisciplinary team, support program objectives and deliver

Qualifications

Bachelor or higher in civil engineering with Sydney Accord accreditation.
Current Class C driver licence is desirable.
Proficiency in 12d Model and AutoCAD; strong design and governance skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and quantify transport infrastructure design models across the project lifecycle.
Provide technical advice on transport infrastructure planning and design.
Investigate, analyse and develop design options that meet project objectives.
Manage and deliver key components of planning and design work.
Ensure designs comply with relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation.
Review drawings and documentation prepared by external design consultants.
Support and guide colleagues in using 12d Model and AutoCAD.
