Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Nerang QLD is seeking a high performing Principal Engineer (Design) to join our team on the Gold Coast. The role provides technical advice and support to the transport and infrastructure functional areas in the South Coast Region.

This senior position requires strong project management, planning and design capabilities, and excellent communication and stakeholder liaison skills to deliver complex design projects within deadlines.

Qualifications

• Project management principles and methodology to achieve project outcomes.
• Experience in planning and design competency elements.
• Well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Well developed written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work within strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and support to the transport and infrastructure functional areas in the South Coast Region.
• Contribute to design planning and delivery of projects on the Gold Coast.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
• Ensure work is delivered on time and within scope.
