Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads in Rockhampton is seeking a PO3 Designer (Civil) to plan and deliver transport infrastructure. You will develop and review civil design models, provide technical advice, assess design options and support projects through planning, development and delivery.

Based in Rockhampton, you will work within the Technical Services team to deliver planning, concept, development and implementation phases, while sharing knowledge of 12d Model and AutoCAD with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Three-year Sydney Accord accredited engineering degree (Civil) or equivalent.
• Current Class C driver licence.
• Proficiency in 12d Model and AutoCAD; experience in transport design desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and quantify civil design models across project lifecycle.
• Provide technical advice on transport planning and design.
• Investigate design options meeting project objectives.
• Manage key components of planning and design work.
• Ensure designs comply with policies, standards, and legislation.
• Review drawings from external consultants.
• Support colleagues in using 12d Model and AutoCAD.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to address needs.
