Job summary

Mondiale VGL is seeking aTransport Allocator to coordinate drivers, manage delivery schedules, and provide accurate updates to customers. This role centers on planning, adjusting, and optimizing daily runs in collaboration with the Transport Coordinator and drivers.

You will ensure compliance with fatigue regulations, weight limits, and safety requirements while maintaining clear records and real-time data across spreadsheets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in transport, logistics or fleet coordination across wharf and container operations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Confident communicator able to liaise with drivers and customers effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Allocate daily jobs to drivers and manage run sheets and delivery documentation.
• Monitor driver progress and proactively plan upcoming deliveries.
• Communicate with drivers via two-way radio to ensure seamless job transitions.
• Track delivery status and keep customers informed of delays.
• Maintain records of container movements, including returns and dehires.
• Manage daily operational spreadsheets and reports.
• Ensure compliance with fatigue regulations, weight limits and safety requirements.
• Identify and manage dangerous goods consignments in line with legal standards.

About the Role
As a Transport Allocator, you’ll be at the centre of our daily operations—coordinating drivers, managing delivery schedules, and ensuring customers receive accurate and timely updates. You’ll work closely with the Transport Coordinator and drivers to plan, adjust, and optimise delivery runs throughout the day.
