Job summary

Linfox is seeking an AM Transport Allocator to support operations based at Redbank, QLD. The role involves transport allocations, route planning and dispatching metropolitan deliveries on a rolling four-days-on, four-days-off roster with 12-hour shifts from 2:00AM to 2:00PM.

Requirements include experience in transport load planning or fleet allocation, strong communication skills, and good knowledge of QLD metro areas. Training and support are provided in a collaborative team environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Good knowledge of QLD metro area and surrounding regions.

Responsibilities

• Allocate transport loads and plan routes for metropolitan deliveries.
• Dispatch deliveries and coordinate with drivers and customers.
• Maintain run sheets, delivery schedules and compliance records.
• Communicate schedule changes to customers and stakeholders.
• Uphold Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times.

What does the job look like?

Join our Retail team as an AM Transport Allocator supporting operations based at Redbank, QLD. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for transport allocations, route planning and dispatching metropolitan deliveries to ensure smooth and efficient shift operations. This position operates on a rolling four-days-on, four-days-off roster, with 12-hour shifts running from 2:00AM through to 2:00PM.

• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions while fostering positive relationships
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to run sheets, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements
• Ensure regular communication with customers, keeping them well-informed about their scheduled deliveries or any changes that may impact them
• Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times

• Experience in transport load planning, driver or fleet allocation is highly regarded, but not essential – a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills – experience with TMS is highly regarded
• Strong geographical knowledge of QLD metro and surrounding areas
• Demonstrated capability to perform effectively under pressure, remaining organised and highly efficient
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
