Job summary

Department of Defence in Sydney seeks the Transition Centre Second in Command (2IC) to support Australian Defence Force members and their families as they transition to civilian life. You will work with the Officer in Charge to deliver high-quality transition services and navigate available support programs.

The 2IC will lead a multi-agency workforce, guide on complex transition matters, manage case work, and contribute to continuous improvement while engaging stakeholders and ensuring privacy

Qualifications

• Strong customer service focus within complex environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Defence Force Transition Program.
• Conduct transition support sessions for members and families.
• Assist members to develop individualised Transition Plans.
• Facilitate referrals to specialist services and advise on transition benefits.
• Maintain accurate case notes and comply with privacy requirements.
