Job summary

INIT is seeking a Training Manager to lead the training strategy and delivery for the Opal Next Generation Account Based Ticketing Program in NSW. You will establish the training function, develop the Training Management Plan, build a team, and create the framework for deployment through steady-state operations.

• Proven experience designing and delivering train-the-trainer programs.
• Experience conducting training needs analyses and developing competency-based outcomes.
• Experience building and leading a training delivery team.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
• Tertiary qualification in education, HR, business or related discipline, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own the training strategy across the full program lifecycle, from delivery through to operations.
• Conduct training needs analyses across INIT internally, Transport for NSW, Transport Operators and delivery partners.
• Build and lead a growing team of Trainers.
• Develop comprehensive training programs and materials, including instructor guides, participant materials, eLearning, assessments and quick reference guides.
• Lead a train-the-trainer model, enabling TfNSW, Operators and partners to train their own teams.
• Plan and coordinate training across multiple disciplines, locations, teams and rollout phases.
• Pilot training, gather feedback and continuously improve content and delivery.
• Establish training environments and maintain training registers and readiness reporting.
• Partner with the global Training team for available existing, customizable materials.
• Partner closely with Change Management, Engineering, Project Management and subject matter experts.

We are looking for an experienced Training Manager to lead the training strategy and delivery for the Opal Next Generation Account Based Ticketing Program. This is amajor technology program transforming the future of ticketing and payments across NSW public transport.

This is a genuine build-from-the-ground-up opportunity. Joining during the delivery phase, you will establish the program's training function, develop the Training Management Plan, build a team of Trainers and create the training framework that will take the solution through deployment and into steady-state operations.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who combines strategic training leadership with strong instructional design capability.

You'll have:

• Experience leading large-scale training programs involving multiple stakeholder groups
• Strong instructional design experience and the ability to develop complete learning and training material suites
• Proven experience designing and delivering train-the-trainer programs
• Experience conducting training needs analysis and developing competency-based learning outcomes
• Experience building and leading a training delivery team
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills
• A tertiary qualification in education, HR, business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), or an equivalent instructional design qualification is desirable.

Experience in transport, technology, infrastructure, public sector or other regulated environments will be highly regarded, particularly technical, safety, compliance or field-deployment training.
