Job summary

Stanley College is seeking a full-time Kitchen Operations Manager based at West Perth Campus to oversee training kitchens, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with the restaurant operations to integrate students into real-world service environments.

The role focuses on maintaining safe, practical learning spaces, supporting accreditation, and collaborating with teaching and operations teams to deliver industry-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or training environment.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment required; relevant industry qualifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, health department regulations and WHS requirements.
• Experience maintaining commercial kitchens to audit-ready conditions.
• Demonstrated hospitality management experience or operational role in a kitchen.
• Proven ability to coordinate operational activities within a training/education context.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across teaching and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training kitchens and storage areas to meet industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health Department, food safety and WHS requirements.
• Implement and monitor cleaning, sanitation and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and health inspections; address corrective actions.
• Ensure facilities support accredited training and assessment activities.
• Conduct training and assessment as required.
• Liaise with Operations/Restaurant Manager to coordinate student participation in activities.
• Support industry-ready student development and professional standards.
• Act as key contact between Faculty and Restaurant for clear communication.
