Job summary

Stanley College is seeking a Trainer and Assessor in West Perth to deliver high-quality hospitality and cookery training. You will lead practical sessions, mentor students, and ensure compliance with VET ASQA standards.

The role is full-time, fixed-term for 12 months, based in West Perth, with industry engagement and ongoing professional development. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hospitality and cookery experience, a TAE40122 qualification, WWCC, and current food safety and first aid

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in the field of the course being delivered.
• Minimum five (5) years recent and relevant industry experience in Hospitality and Commercial Cookery.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent (mandatory).
• Demonstrate relevant and up-to-date industry qualifications in your specific area of expertise.
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) (mandatory).
• Current Food Safety certification/Food Safety Supervisor qualification (mandatory).
• Current First Aid Certificate (mandatory).
• Demonstrate recent and relevant vocational experience within the industry sector.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training and assessment that equips students with practical skills and industry knowledge.
• Maintain compliance with VET Quality Framework and ASQA requirements.
• Mentor students and ensure learning outcomes align with workplace practices and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Engage with industry partners to reflect latest practices and industry needs in training content.
