Great health programs don't happen by accident. They're delivered by skilled, confident people who have the right training, support and resources behind them.
If you enjoy helping others build capability, improving how things are done and making a genuine difference to people's health outcomes, this could be the role for you.
At Diabetes Australia, we're working towards a future where every person living with, or at risk of, diabetes and other chronic diseases can thrive. Through the evidence based My health for life (Mh4l) program, we support Queenslanders to understand their health risks, reduce their risk of chronic disease and make sustainable changes to their health and wellbeing.
We're looking for a Training & Development Coordinator to help support and strengthen the workforce by delivering that impact across Queensland.
This is a varied role that combines training coordination, workforce development, quality improvement and health coaching.
You'll coordinate facilitator recruitment, onboarding, training and assessment, helping ensure facilitators are well prepared and supported to deliver the program. You'll also contribute to professional development activities, maintain learning resources and systems, and support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across the program.
You'll work closely with facilitators, providers, program leaders and delivery partners, building strong relationships and helping maintain a high standard of program delivery.
From time to time, you'll also provide health coaching to participants, supporting them to make positive lifestyle changes and achieve their health goals.
This is an opportunity to use your health background in a broader way.
Rather than supporting one person at a time, you'll help develop the people delivering services to communities across Queensland.
You enjoy helping people learn and grow.
You're organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You can build strong relationships, provide constructive support, and look for practical ways to improve processes and outcomes.
At Diabetes Australia, our purpose is to reduce the impact of diabetes on people, health systems and society. Everything we do is guided by our values of being compassionate, committed, accountable, authentic and collaborative.
We believe diverse perspectives make us stronger and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences and communities.
We believe our people are stronger when they reflect the diverse communities we serve. We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive.
We warmly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people living with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people of all ages, identities and experiences.
Please note a National Police Check will be requested at the final stage.
