Job summary

Metro South Health is seeking a Senior Training Coordinator to lead learning and development across the Operational Services Department at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. The role focuses on designing, delivering and improving training that helps staff work safely, confidently and effectively.

You will coordinate training activities, identify education needs, create contemporary resources and deliver programs that align with Queensland Health requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering training across multiple formats (in-person, virtual, digital).
• Ability to plan, evaluate and support ongoing staff development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.

About This Role

As Senior Training Coordinator, you will coordinate, deliver and support training and learning activities across the Operational Services Department. You'll play a key role in identifying learning needs, developing contemporary training resources and delivering programs that support staff to perform their roles efficiently, safely and in line with Queensland Health requirements.

Your new role

• Design, develop and maintain engaging training materials, resources and digital learning content.
• Identify education needs, undertake gap analysis and develop targeted training plans.
• Facilitate training programs, workshops and learning activities in collaboration with Metro South teams.
• Monitor training compliance and provide managers with reporting on progress, deliverables and performance measures.

About You

You are an experienced learning and development professional who can confidently design and deliver training in a structured, learner-focused environment. You'll bring strong communication, organisational and digital skills, together with the ability to build effective relationships and develop practical learning solutions in a complex healthcare environment.

• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training across a range of formats.
• Strong skills in planning, evaluating and supporting the ongoing development of others.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
