Job summary

Cae is seeking a part-time Documentation and Training Materials Specialist for a fixed-term assignment in New South Wales. You will review and edit training materials, technical reports, policies, procedures, and customer deliverables to ensure accuracy, grammar, style, and quality, acting as the final review gate before delivery.

The role requires experience in defence training programs, Australian Defence Security Clearance, and the ability to work hybrid or onsite at Homebush.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)
• Training or qualifications in the development of computer-based training
• Minimum 5 years' experience in training development
• Experience in training development within a military aviation or naval platform environment
• Demonstrated understanding of ADF training policies and procedures (SADL)
• Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50122)
• Experience working with Learning Content Management Systems and authoring tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to review technical documents and identify grammatical, structural and content errors
• Ability to manage editing and delivery schedules across multiple competing priorities
• Ability to train and coach others in the correct use of the English language
• Ability to develop documentation and writing capability across a broader team
• Strong judgement and decision-making skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required Australian Defence Security Clearance
• Ability to work at our Homebush, NSW site in a hybrid or onsite capacity
