Job summary

Bennett + Bennett is seeking a highly organized Training Coordinator to join our Gold Coast administration team. In this newly created role, you will coordinate training, maintain competency records, track compliance requirements and support onboarding and mobilisation activities across the business, taking ownership of training coordination that supports our people, projects and clients.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior administration, coordination, training, compliance or operational support role.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Comfort with databases, workflow systems and digital records.
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to identify issues and resolve them.
  • Experience coordinating training, onboarding, compliance or workforce administration is highly regarded.
  • Experience in surveying/construction/infrastructure or related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate training requests, bookings and communications with employees, managers and training providers.
  • Maintain a forward training calendar, competency register and expiry tracking.
  • Ensure training certificates, checks, medicals and expiry dates are accurately recorded in our HRIS (ELMO).
  • Support onboarding and mobilisation by obtaining licences/certifications, coordinating medicals and drug/alcohol testing, and completing other checks.
  • Coordinate recurring WHS, operational and project-related training as directed by Operations and WHS.
  • Monitor upcoming competency and compliance requirements so employees are ready for site/client needs.
  • Maintain training provider accounts, coordinate bookings and seek preferred rates.
  • Assist with approvals for higher-cost training before bookings.
  • Collaborate with Operations, WHS, People and Culture, and managers to keep training on track.

  • Coordinate training requests, bookings and communications with employees, managers and training providers.
  • Maintain a forward training calendar, competency register and expiry tracking.
  • Ensure training certificates, checks, medicals and expiry dates are accurately recorded and kept current in our HRIS (ELMO).
  • Support onboarding and mobilisation requirements by obtaining copies of licences and certifications, coordinating medicals and drug and alcohol testing, and completing other required checks.
  • Coordinate recurring WHS, operational and project-related training as directed by Operations and WHS.
  • Monitor upcoming competency and compliance requirements so employees are ready for site and client requirements.
  • Maintain training provider accounts and contacts, coordinate bookings and help identify opportunities for preferred rates.
  • Help coordinate the relevant approvals and agreements for higher-cost training before bookings are made.
  • Work closely with Operations, WHS, People and Culture, and managers to keep training requirements on track.
What You Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior administration, coordination, training, compliance or operational support role.
  • Highly organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong administrative judgement, accuracy and follow-through, with a commitment to maintaining complete records.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Confidence using databases, workflow systems and digital records.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to identify issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Experience coordinating training, onboarding, compliance activities or workforce administration will be highly regarded.
  • Experience within surveying, construction, infrastructure, professional services or a related industry will be advantageous.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, administration, human resources or a related field are highly regarded.
