Job summary

FCC Construction Australia Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a landmark infrastructure project. You will work with Project Manager, Construction Manager, site engineers and subcontractors to coordinate engineering, planning and construction activities, ensuring safe, on-time delivery to budget.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and a track record delivering major infrastructure, rail, metro, tunnelling or buildings

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering construction works on major projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and project controls.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and project interfaces.
• Sound commercial and contractual awareness.

• Monitor project costs, programme performance and risks.
• Assist in resolving technical and construction challenges on site.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the delivery team and play a key role in bringing a landmark Sydney project to life.

As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Site Engineers, design teams and subcontractors to support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure works. You will be responsible for coordinating engineering, planning and construction activities across allocated work areas, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, to budget and in accordance with project requirements.

This is an opportunity to join a major project from an early stage and contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of critical infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering delivery across allocated work areas and construction activities.


• Manage design interfaces, RFIs, technical queries and construction documentation.

About You

You will be an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background delivering infrastructure, civil construction, rail, tunnelling, stations or major building and transport projects.

We are looking for someone who brings:

• A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.


• Experience delivering construction works within a major project environment.


• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles and project controls.


• Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants and project interfaces.


• Sound commercial and contractual awareness.


• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


• A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.

Experience across rail, metro, underground stations, tunnelling or major transport infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
