Job summary

FCC Construction Australia Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking an experienced Safety Administrator to join the delivery team on a landmark Sydney infrastructure project. You’ll support the HSE team with administration and coordination, including safety systems, compliance, workforce onboarding, records and registers, audits and reporting, while helping build a strong safety culture.

You will coordinate onboarding activities for employees, subcontractors, visitors, and plant entering the project,

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or WHS is desirable.
• Construction White Card is required.
• Experience in administration, safety administration, or HSE coordination.
• Experience on construction/infrastructure projects.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Excellent record-keeping and document control.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the HSE team, incl. filing, records and reports.
• Coordinate onboarding and site inductions for workers and visitors.
• Maintain safety systems and liaise with project personnel and subcontractors.
• Assist with safety reports, dashboards and incident investigations.

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Safety Administrator to join the delivery team on a landmark Sydney infrastructure project. You’ll support the HSE team with administration and coordination, including safety systems, compliance, workforce onboarding, records and registers, audits and reporting, while helping build a strong safety culture. It’s a chance to join a major project early and contribute to the planning and delivery of critical works.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Administration & Compliance

• Provide administrative support to the HSE team, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, filing, and record management.

Onboarding & Inductions

• Coordinate onboarding activities for employees, subcontractors, visitors, and plant entering the project.

• Manage onboarding documentation and ensure all required compliance documentation is received, verified, and recorded prior to site access.

Safety Systems & Coordination

• Facilitate communication and coordination between the HSE team, project personnel, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.

Reporting & Project Support

• Assist in preparing project safety reports, dashboards, presentations, and performance metrics.

• Support incident management processes by ensuring records, investigations, corrective actions, and associated documentation are maintained.

About You

You will be an experienced Safety Administrator with a strong background delivering infrastructure, civil construction, rail, tunnelling, stations or major building and transport projects.

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Work Health and Safety, or a related field is desirable, and a Construction White Card is required.

• Experience: Previous work in administration, safety administration, project support, or HSE coordination, ideally in construction, infrastructure, or civil projects.

• Core skills: Strong organisation to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines, plus excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

• Accuracy and records: High attention to detail, with strong document control and record-keeping to keep records accurate.

Experience across rail, metro, underground stations, tunnelling or major transport infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
