Job summary

Golden West Apprenticeships Limited is seeking a Training and Employment Coordinator to drive apprenticeship opportunities across Emerald and surrounding regions. You will build relationships with local businesses, manage apprentice cohorts, and support ongoing training and mentorship to ensure successful outcomes.

You’ll work with a collaborative team, promote Golden West’s services in the community, and coordinate across multiple towns.

Qualifications

• Knowledge or interest in employment/apprenticeship sector
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for promoting apprenticeships and Golden West's services
• Self-motivated and able to prioritise workload autonomously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Driver's licence and Working with Children Check or ability to obtain prior to commencement

• Manage a caseload of apprentices/trainees across Emerald, Barcaldine, Longreach and surrounding areas
• Oversee apprenticeship lifecycle including commencement, mentorship, performance, training delivery and completion
• Develop and maintain a client base to engage apprentices and trainees
• Maintain accurate records within the apprenticeship management system

Job description

As a Training and Employment Coordinator, you'll play a dynamic and influential role, where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for supporting the creation of future apprenticeship opportunities for young people and mature aged jobseekers. You'll work alongside a supportive and caring team that genuinely values their community, local businesses and apprentices. Your role will revolve around relationship management and business development, providing you with a highly rewarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain effective relationships with both apprentices / trainees and local businesses.
• Manage a caseload of apprentices and trainees across Emerald, Barcaldine, Longreach and surrounding areas.
• Oversee and support all aspects of an apprentice's lifecycle, including commencement, mentorship and support, work-based performance, training delivery and completion.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive client base to engage apprentices and trainees.
• Maintain accurate records within the apprenticeship management system.

About you

• Knowledge or an interest in the employment / apprenticeship sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• A passion for promoting apprenticeships, trade training and Golden West's services within the local community.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, able to prioritise workload and work autonomously.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft office.
• Possession of a driver's licence.
• Working with Children Check or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
