Job summary

East Coast Apprenticeships in Brisbane Metro region (head office Strathpine) seeks a dedicated coach for Apprentices and Trainees. You will support learners from initiation to qualification, onboard new entrants, and ensure safety and compliance across the program.

You will liaise with host employers and RTOs, provide mentoring when needed, and contribute to continuous improvement of GTO services while promoting East Coast Apprenticeships in the community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated industry/trade knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of the Vocational Education & Training (VET) system
• Well organised and able to work independently within established parameters
• Track record of achieving results
• Empathic, flexible and a strong team contributor
• Hold a current Australian Driver Licence and be eligible for or hold a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, coaching, care and support to Apprentices and Trainees throughout their apprenticeship/ traineeship
• Onboard new Apprentices and Trainees with necessary documentation and training plans
• Monitor and manage workplace health and safety for your portfolio
• Liaise with host employers and Registered Training Organisations including TAFE Queensland
• Provide counselling and mentoring to enhance performance
• Contribute to development and continuous improvement of GTO services
• Promote East Coast Apprenticeship services within the community

East Coast Apprenticeships is a proud traditional Group Training Organisation (GTO) employing Apprentices and Trainees across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and the Wide-Bay region. We have been in operation for over 35 years and have supported thousands of Apprentices and Trainees develop their practical skills while working with a variety of host employers to achieve their chosen trade qualification.

What will you bring?

If you are passionate and energetic with the skill and temperament to support and coach our Apprentices and Trainees in the Brisbane Metro region (based out of our head office at Strathpine) from commencement to successful completion of their qualifications, we invite you to apply for this key role.

What will you do?

• Provide guidance, coaching, care and support to a portfolio of Apprentices and Trainees throughout the duration of their apprenticeship/traineeship
• Effectively onboard new Apprentices and Trainees, including completing necessary documentation and training plans, to set them up for success
• Monitor and manage workplace health and safety, including psychosocial safety for your portfolio of Apprentices and Trainees
• Liaise with host employers and Registered Training Organisations including TAFE Queensland to maximise positive learning outcomes for Apprentices
• Provide counselling and mentoring for Apprentices and Trainees to enhance performance if needed
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of GTO services
• Promote East Coast Apprenticeship services within the community
