Job summary

Osos Alliance is seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor to provide leave coverage across Rio Tinto mine sites in WA. The role is a 2–3 month FIFO contract from Perth, with a 4:3 roster and immediate start.

You will deliver training to mine site cleaning and facilities management teams, coordinate sessions, and ensure compliance with site safety requirements. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Rio Tinto inductions are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or later) is required.
• Experience delivering training to mine site cleaning personnel.
• Experience delivering Manual Handling Training.
• Strong organizing skills and ability to coordinate sessions.

Responsibilities

Trainer & Assessor – FIFO | Rio Tinto Mine Sites | 4:3 Roster

FIFO from Perth | Pilbara, WA | $160,000 Salary (Pro Rata)

Immediate Start | 2–3 Month Contract | 4:3 Roster

OSOS Alliance is currently seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor to join our client's team on a temporary 2–3 month contract, providing leave coverage across multiple Rio Tinto mine sites in Western Australia's Pilbara region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified Trainer & Assessor with previous experience delivering training to mine site cleaning and facilities management teams.

The successful candidate must be Rio Tinto inducted and available to commence immediately.

The Role

Reporting directly to the HSET Superintendent and HSET Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating training across multiple Facilities Management (FM) operations, ensuring personnel are appropriately trained and compliant with site safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver training and assessments to mine site cleaning and facilities management personnel.
• Conduct Manual Handling Training and ensure safe work practices are maintained.
• Coordinate, schedule and organise training sessions across multiple sites.
• Maintain accurate training records, documentation and reports.
• Liaise effectively with crew members, site management and clients.
• Support compliance with site-specific training and safety requirements.
• Work closely with the HSET team to ensure training standards are maintained.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or later).
• Previous experience delivering training to mine site cleaning personnel.
• Demonstrated experience delivering Manual Handling Training.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate training sessions and maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current Rio Tinto site inductions – essential.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's licence.
• Available for an immediate start.

Highly Regarded

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS).
• Previous experience working across multiple Rio Tinto mine sites.
• Experience within mining facilities management or camp services environments.

• Salary: $160,000 per annum (pro rata for contract duration).
