Job summary

Wingecarribee Shire Council offers two temporary full‑time trainee positions in the water sector. The paid traineeship combines hands‑on operation, maintenance and monitoring of water/wastewater systems with formal study, under guidance from experienced staff.

You will work towards required competencies for an Assistant Operator, with progression supported by a Registered Training Organisation. Salary starts within the NSW award band and includes superannuation.

Qualifications

• Completion of Year 10 with RoSA.
• Basic computer literacy and MS Office skills.
• Commitment to training and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Support operation, maintenance and monitoring of water and wastewater sites.
• Assist with inspections and respond to operational issues.
• Gain practical skills through on‑the‑job training and formal study.
