Job summary

Frontline Retail WA in Myaree is seeking a Trainee Seafood Processor to join a busy seafood production and retail team. The role involves preparing premium fresh seafood and supporting daily operations in a commercial food preparation environment.

Whether you have experience as a Fish Filleter or transferable skills from kitchen, bar, or food manufacturing, training is available for the right candidate. A permanent opportunity with ongoing development is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fish filleting, seafood processing, meat processing, or related food production environments is preferred.
• Strong knife skills and safe handling of fresh foods are important.
• Reliable and able to work weekends on a rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Fillet, portion and prepare a variety of fresh seafood to high standards.
• Complete seafood processing and food prep tasks to meet daily production targets.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Operate knives safely following workplace procedures.
• Assist with packing, product presentation and general production duties.
• Contribute to a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Front of House customer service during peak service times.
• Support high quality product presentation and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fillet, portion and prepare a variety of fresh seafood to a consistently high standard
• Complete seafood processing and food preparation tasks efficiently to meet daily production requirements
• Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and quality standards
• Safely operate knives and follow established workplace procedures
• Assist with packing, product presentation and general production duties

About You

• Previous experience as a Fish Filleter, Seafood Processor, Meat Processsor or within a commercial kitchen, food production or food manufacturing environment
• Strong knife skills and confidence handling fresh food products
• Excellent attention to detail with pride in producing quality work
• Reliable, punctual and available to work weekends as part of a rotating roster
• Able to work efficiently in a fast production environment
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a close-knit team
