Job summary

Goldstar Transport in Western Australia is launching Goldstar Academy, a training program to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills to become a professional truck driver. Over 8-12 weeks you’ll learn heavy vehicle operation, safety checks, and load restraint, with experienced operators guiding you.

Successful candidates may join Goldstar Transport on a full-time basis after the program. The role offers a supportive, safety-focused workplace with development opportunities and weekly

Qualifications

• Must have HR licence and be eligible to drive heavy vehicles.
• Demonstrate reliability and punctuality; willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Goldstar Transport is excited to announce GoldstarAcademy, our very own training program designed to give you theknowledge, practical skills and confidence to take the next stepsin becoming a professional truck driver.

Over the course of 8-12 weeks, you will be exposed to both thetheoretical and practical aspects of truck driving. You’ll belearning from experienced operators and developing the skillsrequired to operate heavy vehicles safely and responsibly.

Best of all, successful candidates will also be given anopportunity to work with us after completing the program on afull-time basis.

What you’ll learn

Throughout this program,you will gain hands on experience and training in:

• Safe operation and handling of heavy vehicles
• Load restraint techniques, including the use of straps andchains
• Road rules, transport regulation and driverresponsibilities
• Vehicle prestart inspections and basic safety checks
• Hazard awareness and safe driving practices
• Practical driving techniques and real-world transportoperations

As our operations span multiple business units across the Perthmetro area, flexibility to work across different locations isessential.

About you

While some experience in thetransport and logistics industry is an advantage, what we’re reallylooking for are people who have a positive attitude, are reliableand a genuine desire to establish a long-term career in thetransport industry.
