Job summary

Ternary is seeking Community Support Workers to help aged care clients in their homes in the Forster region. Join a values-driven team and receive paid training while you learn on site.

No prior experience is required; you will be trained in Certificate III in Individual Support and paid for buddy shifts, regular shifts, and training days. Flexible days/hours and a minimum 15 hours per week are available.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Certificate III in Individual Support training paid during buddy shifts.
• Valid NSW driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
• Must pass National Police Check and WVPC.
• Weekly hours: min 15 up to 30+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance and personal care to aged care clients at home.
• Assist with meals, shopping, transportation and social activities.
• Support clients with personal care, dressing, grooming and toileting as trained.
• Visit clients within the local region between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Our client, a well-established home and community care organisation, is seeking new team members to join their local team in the region.

We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients requiring services, with the expansion of community services.

When you start your career as a Community Support Worker, you can complete socialisation and domestic tasks. As you progress, you will receive training in additional services, such as personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting), respite, catheter care, and much more!

• Ability to pass and receive a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WVPC)
• Have a current NSW driver's licence
• Have a reliable, registered vehicle, with full comprehensive insurance; and

• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a Permanent resident, allowing access to State Funding for the program.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.

You will be visiting (clients - aged care) in their homes and supporting them with services, which may include:

• Domestic Assistance
• Shopping trips
• Personal Care (dressing, showering, grooming, etc)
• Meal Preparation
• Transportation
• To & from Medical Appointments
• Social Activities
• Respite
