Job summary

Ternary is seeking compassionate individuals to join their home care team in the NSW St Georges area. You will train on the job, complete an Australian Qualification (Certificate III in Individual Support), and be paid while you learn.

Roles are permanent part-time with shifts between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday to Friday. No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided and you will work with regular clients in their homes across the region.

Qualifications

• Must pass National Police Check.
• WVPC (Working with Vulnerable Persons Card) or ability to obtain.
• Must live within 10 kms of St Georges area, NSW.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance and support in clients' homes.
• Assist with personal care tasks as trained (dressing, showering, grooming).
• Help with meal preparation and transportation to appointments.

Our client, a well-established home and community care organisation, is seeking new team members to join their local team in the region.

No experience is required; we will train you in Certificate III in Individual Support, and you will be paid to attend buddy shifts, regular shifts, and training days.

On-the-job training provided.

We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients requiring services, with the expansion of community services.

When you start your career as a Community Support Worker, you can complete socialisation and domestic tasks. As you progress, you will receive training in additional services, such as personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting), respite, catheter care, and much more!

What we are seeking:

• Have a great attitude

• Ability to pass a National Police Check (we will get this for you)
• Ability to pass and receive a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WVPC)
• Have a current NSW driver's licence
• Have a reliable, registered vehicle, with full comprehensive insurance; and
• Have regular availability
• Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or a Permanent resident, allowing access to State Funding for the program.
• Hold a current First Aid & CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, and can suit parents-friendly availability as well.

You will be visiting (clients - aged care) in their homes and supporting them with services, which may include:

• Domestic Assistance
• Shopping trips
• Personal Care (dressing, showering, grooming, etc)
• Meal Preparation
• Transportation
• To & from Medical Appointments
• Social Activities
• Respite
