Job summary

Ternary is expanding its Home Care team in Adelaide and is recruiting part-time Home Care Workers. The role offers on-the-job training and pays you to attend classes to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support.

Shifts run Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm with a minimum of 15 hours guaranteed and up to 35 hours weekly. You will assist with domestic tasks, personal care, and mobility support in clients' homes, with travel time paid.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or qualifications required.
• On-the-job training with paid study time.
• Certificate III in Individual Support will be completed during traineeship.

Responsibilities

We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients and the growth of the industry. We would like to employ our next generation of Home Care Workers, where we will pay you to attend work and be trained by our experienced and qualified team members.

We will pay you to attend scheduled classes and study days to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care).

We are recruiting part-time Home Care Workers. You will be offered a minimum of 15 hours (guaranteed) and can work up to 35 hours a week.

We will work within your availability and the days and hours of the shifts.

What we are seeking:

• Ability to obtain and pass a clear National Police Check
• Hold a current SA Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and have full comprehensive insurance
• Be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship.
• Have regular availability, minmum 3 regular days per week.
• Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks (see below), and pass a fitness/health assessment
• Desire to care for and help the elderly

Shifts:

Shifts are available Monday - Friday, between 7:00am and 7:00pm.

Shift durations vary from 1 hour to 3 hours, and we work with you to build full days of work, seeing clients back-to-back.

You are paid for your travel time and KM's between clients.

Services/Tasks:

Throughout your Traineeship, you will be trained on the following services:

• Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas)
• Bed making, room tidying up
• Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client
• Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community
• Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Respite and Social Support
• Ability to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff
