Job summary

Ternary is seeking Trainee Aged Care Workers to support clients living in the community in the Hurstville area. You’ll train on the job, study towards Certificate III in Individual Support, and be paid while you learn. Roles offer regular shifts Monday to Friday with flexible hours and pathways to more advanced care tasks.

Applicants must have a NSW driver license, a reliable vehicle, and be eligible for state funding. Prior experience is not required, and training days are paid.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided and you will be paid while training.
• Must have a current NSW driver's licence to access client visits.
• Australian or NZ citizen, permanent resident or eligible for state funding for the program.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance and shopping trips to clients in their homes.
• Assist with personal care tasks (dressing, showering, grooming, etc).
• Prepare meals and support transportation to appointments.
• Support social activities and respite services as needed.
• Visit clients within the Hurstville area and ensure wellbeing and safety.

Trainee Aged Care Workers (home care) - Hurstvile area

• Flexible days/hours, shifts available between 7:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday
• If you don't have experience, we can offer you on-the-job training
• Minimum 15 hours and work up to 30+ hours a week
• Excellent incentives and working conditions
• The hourly rate starts from $32.86 per hour (part-time)
• Must have a reliable vehicle and an NSW driver's licence.
• Must live within 10 kms of the Hurstville area, as clients will be located within this area.
• To access State Funding (Certificate III), must be an Australian or New Zealand Permanent Resident or Citizen.

Our client, a well-established home and community care organisation, is seeking new team members to join their local team in the region.

No experience is required; we will train you in Certificate III in Individual Support, and you will be paid to attend buddy shifts, regular shifts, and training days.

On-the-job training provided.

We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients requiring services, with the expansion of community services.

When you start your career as a Community Support Worker, you can complete socialisation and domestic tasks. As you progress, you will receive training in additional services, such as personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting), respite, catheter care, and much more!

What we are seeking

• Ability to pass and receive a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (WVPC)
• Have a current NSW driver's licence
• Have a reliable, registered vehicle, with full comprehensive insurance; and
• Have regular availability
• Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or a Permanent resident, allowing access to State Funding for the program.
• Hold a current First Aid & CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain.

Shifts are available Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, and can suit parents-friendly availability as well.

You will be visiting (clients - aged care) in their homes and supporting them with services, which may include:

• Domestic Assistance
• Shopping trips
• Personal Care (dressing, showering, grooming, etc)
• Meal Preparation
• Transportation
• To & from Medical Appointments
• Social Activities
• Respite
