Job summary

Ternary is expanding its Home Care team in the greater Southern Adelaide area and offering part-time Home Care Worker positions with guaranteed hours. You will be trained on the job and complete a Certificate III in Individual Support during paid work time as part of a traineeship.

You must be available at least 3 days per week and pass a National Police Check. A valid SA driver’s license, a vehicle, and insurance are required.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Must be available minimum 3 days per week (e.g., 9:00–4:00 or 7:00–7:00).
• Willingness to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support during traineeship.
• Pass a clear National Police Check and hold SA Driver's license with vehicle and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance in clients' homes (cleaning, tidying).
• Assist with personal care and grooming for elderly clients.

We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients and the growth of the industry. We would like to employ our next generation of Home Care Workers, where we will pay you to attend work and be trained by our experienced and qualified team members.

We will pay you to attend scheduled classes and study days to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care).

We are recruiting part-time Home Care Workers. You will be offered a minimum of 15 hours (guaranteed) and can work up to 35 hours a week.

We will work within your availability and the days and hours of the shifts.

• Hold a current SA Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and have full comprehensive insurance
• Be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship.
• Have regular availability, minmum 3 regular days per week.
• Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks (see below), and pass a fitness/health assessment
• Desire to care for and help the elderly

Shifts:

Shifts are available Monday - Friday, between 7:00am and 7:00pm.

Shift durations vary from 1 hour to 3 hours, and we work with you to build full days of work, seeing clients back-to-back.

You are paid for your travel time and KM's between clients.

Services/Tasks:

Throughout your Traineeship, you will be trained on the following services:

• Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas)
• Bed making, room tidying up
• Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client
• Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community
• Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Respite and Social Support
• Ability to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff
