Job summary

Autopact CQ is seeking a confident, motivated Trainee Sales Consultant to join its growing Central Queensland team. You will learn from experienced colleagues, helping customers find the right vehicle and guiding them from first contact through to delivery and after-sales follow-up.

The role welcomes candidates with or without prior sales experience, offering ongoing training, career progression, and a competitive salary package with a retainer and uncapped commission.

Qualifications

• Previous sales or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence making outbound calls and handling customer objections.
• Customer-first mindset and professional presentation.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn CRM and dealership systems.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with the purchase of new, demonstrator, and used vehicles.
• Managing the complete customer journey from enquiry through to delivery and after-sales follow-up.
• Building strong relationships with customers through exceptional service.
• Generating new business through proactive phone and face-to-face prospecting.
• Maintaining accurate customer records using our CRM systems.
• Developing and maintaining strong product knowledge across multiple vehicle brands.
• Working closely with the wider dealership team to achieve individual and team goals.

While previous sales experience is highly regarded, it is not essential. Candidates with backgrounds in retail, hospitality, customer service, real estate, telecommunications, or other sales-focused industries often excel in this role.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Sales Consultant Trainee, you'll work next to our experienced team and learn how to help customers find the right vehicle to suit their needs. You will learn how to deliver an exceptional ownership experience from first contact through to delivery and beyond.
