Job summary

TP ICAP Australia on Castlereagh Street, Sydney, seeks to learn broking from the ground up on our Forward FX desk. You will support brokers, input trades into trading systems, and resolve trade queries while gaining real-time pricing and market information.

Ideal candidates have strong numeracy, the ability to multitask, and a degree in economics or finance. Previous sales experience is a plus; a dynamic, proactive mindset is essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Update real-time manual/electronic whiteboards with market data.
• Provide input on projects for brokers and traders.
• Provide live quotes through the link line to internal regional offices.
• Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
• Understand the traded products and keep up to date with new products/procedures.
• Manage on-boarding of new clients with the Client On-Boarding team.

Role Overview

An opportunity to learn broking from the ground up, to develop a long term and rewarding career. Our Forward FX desk broke foreign exchange forward contracts. We provide our clients with real time pricing, market information and a place to facilitate their trades. We offer traditional voice broking and hybrid broking through our e-broking platforms

Role Responsibilities

• Promote Tullett Prebon as a company
• Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk
• Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems
• Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally, and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
• Keep trade records up to date.
• Update real-time manual / electronic whiteboards with market data
• Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders
• Provide live quotes through the link line to our internal regional offices
• Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments
• Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures
• Manage the on-boarding of new clients with the Client On-Boarding team
