Job summary

Workforce International seeks an experienced Traffic & Transport Engineer to join a local government engineering team on a contract/casual basis in Northern NSW. You will provide specialist technical advice across development assessment, traffic, transport and road safety matters, with an immediate start.

The role focuses on development assessment referrals, parking, traffic generation, and road safety, with a small team and no staff supervision.

Qualifications

• We require a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in Traffic/Transport.
• Demonstrated experience in traffic and transport engineering.
• Knowledge of development assessment referrals and traffic impact assessment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Review traffic impacts of development applications.
• Assess parking requirements and traffic generation.
• Provide road safety and transport planning advice.
• Support planners, designers, and internal teams with technical guidance.
• Respond to customer service and Councillor enquiries.
