Job summary

Inner-West Sydney Local Council is seeking a Traffic Engineer to help address the backlog of traffic-related enquiries from staff and external stakeholders, including grant applications for roads, parking, pedestrian and traffic projects.

The role requires a Civil Engineering qualification, experience in AutoCAD and TechOne, and strong communication skills. Flexible start times and a 35-hour week are offered, with potential for extension and permanent transition.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or related qualifications.
• Experience in Local Government preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and TechOne.

As an Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with Councils backlog for all traffic related enquiries from internal and external Stakeholders, including undertaking grant applications, including roads, parking, pedestrian and traffic projects.

• Prepare traffic committee reports and local forums
• Further investigate reports and provide advice to stakeholders
• Complete design assessment through AutoCAD for analysis

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or relevant qualifications
• Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, and TechOne
• High level of attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
