Job summary

Woollahra Council is seeking an experienced Traffic & Transport Engineer to join the Engineering Services team on a permanent full-time basis in Sydney. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will contribute to traffic, transport and parking planning and reporting, with a collaborative, high-performance team.

Responsibilities include preparing reports for the Traffic Committee, advising on development impacts, arranging surveys, notifying stakeholders, and providing technical guidance grounded in

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in traffic engineering, civil engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge in traffic and transport engineering and parking management with practical experience.
• Experience with Development Assessment relating to traffic management and parking with practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports to the Traffic Committee and implement resolutions.
• Provide timely reports and advice on traffic impacts of developments and required actions.
• Arrange surveys and data collection related to traffic, transport and parking issues.
• Notify communities and stakeholders of traffic management proposals.
• Provide technical advice to staff and community based on industry standards.
