Job summary

Lismore City Council is seeking a Traffic Controller/Labourer to join the Roads and Infrastructure team. You will manage traffic around worksites and assist with general labouring duties, ensuring safety and efficient operations.

We offer an attractive 9-day fortnight, ongoing training and development opportunities, plus on-call overtime. Salary starts at $1,095.30 per week plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a White Card for construction sites.
• Current Class C driver’s licence is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and follow directions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changes.
• Passion for Lismore and alignment with council values.

Responsibilities

• Perform Traffic Control duties including signage setup and traffic management around worksites.
• Assist in setup and operation of traffic control measures, independently or with a team.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure devices and tools are serviceable.
• Undertake general labouring duties as required.
• Adhere to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Provide courteous service to the community and effective communication with team members.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in on-call and overtime as required.
• Use council technology systems to receive work instructions and complete tasks.
