Lismore City Council is seeking a Traffic Controller/Labourer to join the Roads and Infrastructure team. Your role will involve directing traffic at road construction and maintenance sites and performing general labouring tasks to support safe, efficient worksites.

Key responsibilities include setting up signage, coordinating traffic flow, maintaining equipment, and adhering to WHS policies. A White Card and a Class C licence are required, with opportunities for training and development and

Qualifications

• White Card is required for construction work.
• A valid Class C driver’s licence is required.
• Demonstrated teamwork, communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Willingness to adapt and learn in a dynamic environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform Traffic Control duties, including signage setup and safe management of traffic around worksites.
• Assist in setup and operation of traffic control measures, working independently or as part of a team.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure traffic control devices, signage and tools are serviceable.
• Undertake general labouring duties as required.
• Work in accordance with Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Provide professional, courteous service to the community and communicate effectively with team members.
• Complete required records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in on-call and emergency response activities outside normal working hours.
• Use Council technology systems to receive work instructions and complete daily tasks.
