Job summary

Tribus in Sydney is seeking an experienced Production Operations Engineer to join the technology team. You will operate at the intersection of production engineering, SRE and trading systems support, collaborating with traders, software engineers and infra teams to ensure reliability, performance and scalability of critical systems across APAC.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Linux-based production environments.
• Background in Production Engineering or SRE.
• Python scripting for automation.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Exposure to CI/CD and version control tooling.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Linux-based production and trading systems.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and performance issues in real time.
• Deploy, monitor and maintain proprietary trading applications.
• Use Python or similar scripting languages to automate operational processes.
• Analyze incidents and identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce manual intervention.
• Work closely with development teams on releases, production changes and system improvements.
• Support networking, colocation and exchange-connected infrastructure.
• Help ensure redundancy, capacity and resilience across production environments.
• Improve monitoring, deployment and operational tooling.
• Contribute to system architecture and configuration standards as the environment scales.
• Support rollout of new trading products, systems and exchange connectivity.
